Lewes Football Club, affiliated with the Football Association and sponsored by Coco5, announceS the launch of the Rookery 6s Six-a-side League, on Tuesday 2 February 2016; the first of FOUR Rookery Six-a-side League Tournaments across three days every week.

Three separate Leagues for the over 16s, plus a Super-Vets 40+ league, will take place on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – all you have to do is chose which League suits you and your team, and then you can lead your team of heroes to play on one of the finest 3G artificial surfaces in the country.

Teams can choose from one of FOUR six-a-side leagues:

Tuesday nights, 6.30 to 7.30pm (one 25 minute match, from February 2 to April 6) Friday nights, 8 to 9pm (one 25 minute match, from February 5 to April 8) Sunday nights, 6 to 7.30pm (one 40 minute match, from February 7 to April 10). The Super Vets is a league created especially for the 40 + generation; those who ‘can still do a job’ on the pitch, but haven’t had a ‘good engine’ for years! The Super Vets League is one 25 minute match per team, per week, and held every Friday from 9-10pm.

Match fees are as follows:

Meaning: two Tuesday evening divisions; two Friday evening divisions and two Sunday evening divisions. You will play one match per evening. Just choose which evening you’d like to play and we’ll do the organising for you…After week five, the top three teams in each division will play each other during weeks six to ten, the bottom three teams do the same, and at the end of the tournament, the winners of each division take home their respective silverware. Our FA qualified referees will officiate each game and you will have a dedicated pitch manager to ensure that everything runs like clockwork on the night.

After an initial deposit, payment for matches will be taken on the night. Each session you will be welcomed by a tournament manager at the Rook Inn – situated inside Lewes FC’s Dripping Pan ground, and escorted through to the Rookery 3G pitch after payment of your match fees.
