This Sunday Lewes Ladies 1st Team head west once more.

Ladies Warm downThis Sunday Lewes Ladies 1st Team head west once more, this time to meet Forest Green Rovers at Slimbridge AFC, in the FA WPL.
The two teams last met at the Dripping Pan in November, Lewes running out 3-1 winners with two goals from Paige Walder and one from Dani Lane. FGR’s last win came over St Nicholas LFC, with Amy Baker named opposition player of the match and on the score sheet, together with Kirsty Richardson and Paige Stewart (2) in a 4-2 victory.

Last time at home in the league Rovers took an early lead against a resurgent QPR side through Annie Martin, only for the Hoops to take the points as they did at the Dripping Pan, 2-1. FGR lost the previous home fixture, another tight encounter, 0-1 to C&K Basildon, Amy Baker once again picking up Player of the Match for her side. With just 7 points from 17 games this season, Rovers will be looking for a better showing, whilst the Rookettes will want a repeat of their last trip out west, 3 points away to Plymouth Argyle.
